The National Construction Code 2019 Building Code of Australia – Volume 2 (Amendment 1) sets out the requirements
for corrosion protection of certain structural steel members such as:
• Bearers supporting a timber floor or non-loadbearing stud wall
• Strutting beams supporting roof and ceiling loads
• Lintels supporting a roof, ceiling, frame, and timber floor
• Columns
