Galvanize 88 – The 2025 Sorel Award Edition

In this issue, we celebrate innovation and progress in galvanizing. Explore the 2025 Sorel Awards finalists – projects that exemplify sustainability, modularity, and durability, from the sculptural brilliance of Monoliths for Mountain Park to forward-thinking designs like Solar Canopies and transformative transport infrastructure.

We also highlight a major milestone: the first comprehensive revision of AS/NZS 4680 in nearly two decades. This updated Standard delivers clearer guidance, new definitions, and improved inspection methods, along with provisions for ultra-low reactive steels, galvanized reinforcement, and achieving thicker coatings. Training on the new Standard is available through GAA and GANZ, both online and in person.
